Friday, November 14 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Bedwell Bayfront Park, Menlo Park
SFSU Climate HQ, in partnership with the Rotary Club and Save the Bay, invites you to join us for a meaningful morning of habitat restoration at Bedwell Bayfront Park on Friday, November 14, 9am-1pm.
Why participate:
-
Make a real impact: The native plants we'll be working with help protect our coastline from climate change-caused sea level rise by stabilizing shorelines and building resilient wetland habitats
-
Connect with colleagues: Build camaraderie outside the usual work environment with fellow faculty and staff who care about our local environment
-
Learn from experts: Save the Bay's skilled restoration team will share insights about wetland ecology, Bay history, and how restoration efforts create natural barriers against rising seas
-
Support our students: Your participation demonstrates the university's commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement
What we'll be doing: Native plant nursery work, invasive species management, and trash removal—all activities that directly contribute to protecting San Francisco Bay from climate impacts.
