Thurs, April 25, noon-2pm, 2024

Jack Adams Hall, Cesar Chavez Center

Current and former students will discuss how their time in the College of Ethnic Studies, and in the Department of Race & Resistance Studies (RRS), has shaped their work as community organizers and activists.

Moderated by RRS Senior Lecturer Larry Salomon, the panel will include former students who now work with the Arab Resource and Organizing Center (AROC), the Black Organizing Project (BOP), People Organizing to Demand Environmental and Economic Rights (PODER), the Filipino Community Center (FCC) as well as current students in the General Union of Palestinian Students (GUPS), Pacific Islander Student Association (PISA), League of Filipino Students (LFS), Movimiento Estudiantil para la Liberación de las Americas (MELA), and more. Sponsored by the Department of Race & Resistance Studies
